Hello My Name Is......

Hello, my name is regret
I’m pretty sure we have met
Every single day of your life
I’m the whisper inside
That won’t let you forget

Hello, my name is defeat
I know you recognize me
Just when you think you can win
I’ll drag you right back down again
‘Til you’ve lost all belief

Oh, these are the voices. Oh, these are the lies
And I have believed them for the very last time

I am no longer defined
By all the wreckage behind
The one who makes all things new
Has proven it’s true
Just take a look at my life

Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I've been saved, I've been changed, I have been set free
"Amazing Grace" is the song I sing
Hello, my name is child of the one true King

"Hello, My Name Is" is a song by Matthew West.

And I know that I have posted it on here before but this song just hits me deep in my soul.

I woke up this morning heavy hearted.

Life in general has been tough lately and then yesterday a six year old child from our town

was killed in a boating accident.

He was with his grandfather, who is not much older than I am.

I can't imagine.

The grandfather's back is broken and it will heal but I'm not sure his heart ever will.

So, for some reason, I was determined to get up early and capture a sunrise this morning.

It is harder to capture than you may think.

I drove through downtown and on some back roads.

No sunrise...it was blocked by buildings or trees.....

and I'm still thinking of all the sadness we have experienced lately....

personally....

as a town....

as a nation...

and I round a curve in the road and there it was....

and guess what song came on my radio....

Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I've been saved, I've been changed, I have been set free
"Amazing Grace" is the song I sing
Hello, my name is child of the one true King

2 Corinthians 4:16-18  So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Truly so hard to endure those rough times and tragedies and my heart and prayers always go out to those that are going through them.
The sunrise reinforces the fact that even from the darkness you must believe the light will shine again.. Beautiful sunrise you caught in that photo , simply beautiful .
I don't know the song you speak of but it sounds beautiful , I do know Amazing Grace (the song and the way) and it always touches my soul.
Hugs to you my friend, hugs to you.

Oh Lisa...I have chills as I am reading this. I am so sorry to hear about this horrible accident. There is no way anyone can make sense out of something so painful. That is where we stop and God takes over. I am just so thankful that as a child of the One True King, this is a possibility. And I LOVE it when God knows exactly the right radio station to play...how amazing! Keep chasing those sunrises, friend...I do the same thing :) Thanks for this precious post.

I am so sorry to read your blog post this morning and that you are sad and experiencing so many hardships right now. My heart is heavy and I wish I could hug you right now my dear, sweet, friend. Just you mentioning "Amazing Grace" a song that I've heard my daughter sing so many times at so many sad times in my life I can only assure you that in the sadness there is beauty in the sound of the music, there is hope that things will change just as the sunrise changes into day. I have gotten through so many times like these and I know with your faith and strength and love from so many in your life you will get through too. Time is a healer and your pain will lessen. Sending you love, lots of hugs, and prayers. I love you Lisa.

I love that song! What beautiful pictures..so sorry to hear of the loss in your town. We lost a close friend to a massive heart attack yesterday! Not only was he a close friend, but a man of God..a missionary..father grandfather, husband and friend! One thing for sure our "one true king " knows all things! Wishing you better days to come!

My heart goes out to the family that lose their child and I can't even imagine how the grandfather must feel- God blessings for them all. The pain of life sometimes can be overwhelming and can cause us to struggle with our faith. I love you blog and your wonderful pictures. Visiting from Tuesday With a Twist. Have a blessed day!
