But we did see this redneck rig....I guess if you want to go fishing

you figure out a way to haul your boat.

My husband is a rule breaker...

Ummm.....yes we are in a boat.....

This is why I don't get invited to go fishing much....

I turned my back to hubby took the pic and worked for 30 minutes getting it untangled.

I wasn't going to talk on this post and let the photos speak for themselves.....

but.....

you know I have to talk!

We were at the river.....the mama thing came out first and then a baby thing came out of a hole.

It doesn't have a beaver tail.

The dam!

Hubby would not let me gather this wood and put it in the boat.

He's no fun...:(

I don't watch them and I think they are ridiculous but I have so much fun with my

Catching You Up!

Hmmmm....

Where to begin?

First I had a request to see my final selection of the dress I wore to the wedding in this post.

Out of 200 photos that I tried to take of me and the dress you only get to see one..

and it's because I'm almost hidden behind the table.

The colors I liked but it was a drapey mess. (what is going on with my hair?)

However I do like that my teeth look white.

I've been swishing my mouth out (don't swallow it) with hydrogen peroxide after I brush my teeth

and this stuff really works!

It sure beats paying a dentist hundreds of dollars.

Let's see...ummm.....what else has been happening?

Oh.....I've been trying to learn how to play tennis!

I hate being old, overweight and out of shape...:(

How do you get back in shape without hurting yourself?

Anyway....let's move on...or in my case limp on....

Did I tell you that my husband left his job that he was a part owner in for 33 years?

It's a long and complicated story that I may talk about one day but I just know

that God has a plan for us and we are on board for where he is leading us.

So......hubby is working in our shop for now....and I had to make me an office in college kid's room.

He is not happy about some of the changes that I have made.... like his bedding.

I just couldn't take the brown and ducks and deer.

He doesn't like the chevron ...heehee.

He doesn't even sleep in here when he is at home....he sleeps in the guest room with the big t.v.

Sambo seems to like it and she keeps me company.

Now some of you may remember that I tried to have my office in the laundry room.

That will not work because if for some reason someone had to come to my office and saw the

laundry room.........I would have to kill them.

I really tried to organize it but it never really worked out as you can see in this post.

I really like having my office upstairs.....it seems private and cozy.

And if you think about it would you say a little prayer for my hubby and me?

That we will listen to the Lord and do his will.

I'm really excited about the new direction our lives are taking.

The only bad thing is it looks like I will be working full time away from home

if everything pans out for us and I won't be able to stay in touch with you wonderful

people as much.

I will sneak you in as much as possible....;)

So that should about catch you up with me and what's been going on lately.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Redneck Island 2014

We went to the river today to see what "our" sandbar looked like.

Each year the river gets "out" and covers the sandbar and then the water

goes back down and you never know how it will leave the sandbar.

Sometimes it's gently slopes to the water....sometimes it's a steep bank to the water.

So the hubby, the dogs and I went to check it out.

It looked pretty good.

The dogs had a blast.......chasing the waves and running.

I put my feet in the sand.....

We did some target shooting...

some picture taking...

we watched the boats go by...

You can even check out the deer tracks!

It was a beautiful, peaceful day!

Mommy, Mom, Mother......

The many jobs  blessings of being a mom.

Just being mommy.....there's nothing like it.

and then...

and I'm a mom of boys...so.....

and...

good days and sad days...

but most of all it is such a blessing...

two became a family....

My greatest gift...

Thank you God for giving me this wonderful gift of being a mom!

Oh girls!!!!  Rod!!!!  Where are y'all?

Hey Lucy!  What's been going on?

Lucy:  Bokbok....I'm just checking out the flower beds....trying to keep your flowers bug free!"

Me:  Great job Lucy.....keep it up.  Where is Rod Stewart and the rest of the girls?

Lucy:  I don't know.....you know I do my own thing.....I don't need a male to tell me what to do!"

Me:  Ohhhh....excuse me.  Ummm....I'll just see if anyone else knows where they are.

Hey Breesy!  Have you seen Rod and the girls?

Breesy:  Shhh!!!  Use your whisper voice..... I can't talk right now....I have my eye on a squirrel.

Me:  (whispering) okay...okay...I'll check somewhere else.

Me:  Sambo!!!  I'm looking for Rod and the girls...have you seen them?

Sambo:  (snore!!!! meow..purrr...here little mouse..I have a piece of cheese for you)

Me:  Sambo!!!  Wake up!!

Sambo:  wha?  No....I haven't seen them....wait one of them tried to teach me to fly a few minutes ago.

Look Sambo.....you put your wings out......hey...where are your wings?  Well put your paws out and flap, flap like this....you see.

Me:  I think I see the  Kardashi-hens ...(heehee..see what I did there)

Kim, Kloe and Kourtney....what have y'all been up to?

Kim: And I told Kanye that I didn't have anything to wear and he told me that camo was really in style and I should wear it today.

Kloe:  Sheesh!  I'm so sick of hearing Kanye this and Kanye that.....and personally I wouldn't be caught dead in camo.

Kourtney:  (just stares at them)

Awkward silence...........................................................................................

Me:  Okay, then.....maybe I will just move along.

Good morning Millie!  Are you having a nice day?

Millie:  bok, bok, yes....except those gnats...they are terrible!!

They totally mess up my day!.

Me:  Have you seen Rod?  I can't find him.

Millie:  Yes....he's over there flirting with Lucy.

Kim:  Hey Kloe...do you see Rod flirting with Lucy?

Kloe:  I see him.....why are guys only attracted to women who completely ignore them?

He only wants her because he thinks he can't have her!  Men!!

Rod: Oh hey Kloe......can you tell me where Lucy went?

Kloe:  Talk to the tail Rod....you need to get some self respect and quit chasing her.

Rod: Hey  Kourtney!  Have you seen Lucy?

Kourtney:  (silence)................................................................................no.

Lucy strolls by :  Lalalala.....I think I will go check out the driveway.

Rod: (shh! there she is....I've got to look cool...suck in my gut.)

Millie: Hey Kardashi-hen girls...what's going on with Rod?

Kim:  And Kanye told me I was looking much better after losing my weight.

Kloe:  Kanye is a jerk Kim!  Don't you agree Kourt?

Kourtney:...(silence).................................................................................yes.

Rod:  (she's coming this way....I can't breathe....I can only suck in my gut for so long..ahhh!.)

Lucy:  Oh my is that a bug over there?

Me:  I'm glad I have all of you together.....how is Spring going for y'all?

Kim:  And I'm going to be in Kanye's next music video.....

Kloe:  Kill me now......

Millie:  If you could get us some gnat spray that would help.

Lucy: I've got plans...doing my own thing.

Rod:  (sigh.....)  I think I'm in love.........

Will Lucy ever notice Rod?

Will the gnats go away?

Will Kim ever shut up about Kanye?
