Another Great Day With Hubby!

Yesterday was a beautiful day!

Sunny and cool....just perfect!

We went to church and heard a great message and on the way home I heard this song.

Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I’ve been saved, I’ve been changed, I have been set free
"Amazing Grace" is the song I sing
Hello, my name is child of the one true King

Of course that was just the chorus but the song is beautiful.

It is by Matthew West.

If you get a chance you should listen to it....I loved it!

So I'm in a great mood and hubby says "I need to do some things at the camp and I want you to go."

Of course I know how much he needs me to go so I go.

Yes.....this is creepy camp.

Which is not ours but a friends.

Hubby loves this place because it is right by the river.

Great Lisa....focus on the bugs and not the barge going by.

So my hubby and a friend had to fix the tractor....

but afterwards they were going to shoot some dove.

I know that sounds terrible but it is how life is around these parts.

Doves are plentiful and we do eat them.

The dogs of course were with us and the weather was so nice they couldn't even

hold their heads up.

So while hubby and friend were occupied with the tractor I decided I

would take some photos of me with the gun.

But dadgumit he caught me.

He said "you have your gun are you ready to go shoot?"

Me:  "ummm.....no....I'm not going to shoot."

Hubby: "well why do you have your gun?"

Me: "ummm.....so I can look cute in a photo?"

Hubby: (eye roll)

Does this really look like someone that he should hunt with?

So I did my usual reading and more reading and took photos and enjoyed the great weather.

They finished up and on the way out they cleaned the doves on the bridge.

And we went to the main part of the river and I took this photo before we went home.

Another great day with hubby!

You do look cute with the gun! My hubby always tells me that I look hot when I'm holding a gun haha! Men ;)

Love your photos. They are all so awesome! But I have to say that camp does look a bit creepy to me too.

LOL- yeah, you don't look too safe to me. I used to hunt. I prefer going with the guys. I still don't see why anyone would hunt doves. You got 2 maybe 3 bites there. Not worth the time cleaning, so we would have just fed them to cats or dogs. Its like those cornish hens in the store. Seriously? Who eats those? They most certainly haven't fed a bunch of men. Love the photos and you do look good in camo.
I used to shoot squirrels and rabbits and they are good. Just a lot of work for a little meat. Great grandpa ate squirrel brains. Not me. Gotta go, the baby is awake and a bit mad.

I invision spiders, very large spiders residing in that camp...Girlfriend, camo is your color...when you say doves...is that Mourning Doves? I'm ignorant when it comes to hunting prey...Always fun to hang with the men folk...Greetings from Maine, Julie.

I'm with you - I'd rather be shooting with my camera. :)

The photo of you with the gun is too cute! I'll never forget the time hubby and I went out West to shoot when we were first married. I decided I wanted to try shooting. I aimed the gun at a rabbit (wild) of course. Pulled the trigger. Never dreamt in a million years I would hit it. Then I saw it drop. All I could do is think of my pet bunnies I had growing up. Needless to say this girl hasn't shot a gun since. lol! Looks like a fabulous dog-gone lazy fun filled kind of day!
hugs,
Jann
