A Sneak Peek

Well I finally did it!!

I know I have been missing lately but I have been busy, busy.

I finally painted my living room.......dadadaaaaa (dramatic music)!

Can you see it?

Noooooo....silly.

What are you thinking?

Do you know me at all?

Because by finish.....I mean almost finished.....well....slapped the paint on the wall....

except for the tall corner that goes into the stairwell and

painting all of the trim...

and the doors...

and hanging things back on the wall...

and getting new curtains....

and oh my...

I may never finish.....:(

but here is a sneak peak!

Before it was a dark brown.....I tried to lighten it up with white curtains...wasn't working.

Now it is called "Grey Owl" by Benjamen Moore Paints and I love it!

And since I am always thinking of you I thought.. I must show them some fall decorating

so "Bam!" I threw some itty bitty pumpkins on the mantle.

Heehee.....there ya go.....my fall decor.

Oops....the phone is ringing and I KNOW that it's "Better Homes and Gardens" calling

to feature my fall decor.....:)

Maybe next time I can show you a finished room or

maybe I will say it was all in your imagination and I don't even know

what you are talking about!

 (laundry room organization)...what?

don't know what you are talking about?

Now let's step over the paint cans and go brew a cup of coffee...

ahhhhh....

I love that color and I want that lamp! I was told this afternoon that I cannot start any fall decorating until the 1st. That's only a couple of days, but I was told no, I had to wait. Oh, well...so how is that laundry room going??? Just thought I would ask.

The new paint color has made a big difference for the better, not sayin' the old look was bad, just the new is better !

I think your fall decorations are right on, and I love reading posts that sound like the writer enjoys her home, in all it's phases.

It is so true that one project leads to so many more...makes our homes an endless project, hopefully one of love. ( a good sense of adventure & humor sure help )

I like your new paint color. And you decorate the way I would - just throw out some pumpkins! However your home looks much better decorated than mine (trust me, I'm an engineer - I have no sense for how to make stuff look pretty. I have white walls and beige carpet - boring!)

The new paint looks great! And I love those little pumpkins. I'm a sucker for pumpkins and gourds this time of year!

Love your new color choice for the walls. I like brown and had a brown office once, but it is rather dark.

Yes, I definitely like the new lighter color! It's amazing what a little paint can do to a room! It is a lot of work, though!! We repainted 3 rooms in our upstairs area...so thankful that part is done!! Now, we are putting up the trim around doors, windows, and baseboard, etc. which is also very time-consuming. May you have a wonderful week!
p.s. Thanks for stopping over at my blog and leaving you sweet comment!

Love the color! It is so hard to find the right color with the choices out there. Your curtains are fantastic as well! Painting is one hard sucky job!
