Hello out there!
I'm in Quick book purgatory....sales tax, withholding tax, unemployment tax, 940, W2, W4, 1099, I9....
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
And I don't know what the what I'm doing.
And my husband who is working so hard on all the manual labor comes in all hot and sweaty and exhausted
and asks "you've got all the paperwork stuff taken care of don't you?"
And I just say..."ummm......yes." And he's too tired to notice that it is in tiny letters.
I frantically call the accountant and he says do blah, blah, blah blah blah and then do blah, blah
blah, blah blah. Have you got that?
Ummmm.......yes.
I've been out of the loop too long. My brain does not want to learn this stuff.
It wants to wander around the yard and check on Rod Stewart and his romance
with the Kardashi-hens.
And then the brain (and the body) wants to take a little nap in the sun.
And the brain has no room for frenzy, and calculations and have you filed with the IRS....
The brain (and the body) wants to go back to time spent under THE tree.....
ahhh.....the good old days...
and baking quiche...
And I know....some people can do it all......
but not this brain.
This brain feels like a lot of stuff is being packed in where there is no room for it.
It may not even have time to post special things like slug sex for y'all.
It's really hard to take a laid back, all I want to do is farm, 50 year old brain and turn it into a savvy business brain.
The brain is sad.........and feeling sorry for itself.
It has no choice but to hang in there (if only by a little, tiny vine) and
try to figure it all out.
Why oh why can't my good looks be enough.....
why must I have to use my brain also?....sigh....
The tired and sad brain says goodbye for now.
It may see you again in 6 months or never
because it may be in IRS jail.
Ummmm....yes...this is true.
Ummmm....yes...this is true.

Oh my goodness girl! This brain works just about the same way yours does...I sympathize with you. BUT...I know you are REALLY SMART and I have confidence in you! I think somehwere there is a scripture that might apply to you...let's see...how does it go...uhhh...oh yeah...."I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me STRENGTH!"...Philippians 4:13
Praying you get through this trial by fire period. I know my brain seems more squishy as I get older. You might be better off doing it by hand with a pencil like the good old days.
I think what you need is chocolate. Little Debbies by the the truck load and instead of a pool boy this summer, hire that accountant. ;)
Your brain will thank you.
Oh my sounds like a fried brain dilemma if I ever heard one ~ we need a revival .
Deep breaths , yup and remember that beautiful gosh darn tree . Ebbs and flow ~ take some time to sit and relax - yup you got it going on some work, some relaxation ,breathe . This too shall pass.
And of course with you brains , beauty and sense of humor , that ole tax man is sure to give you a break , or at least an extension on the deadline ~ right !
Tell him he can meet the KArdashi-hens !
I think there's an IRS conspiracy to make everyone crazy. Sounds like it's working!! :-)
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hang in there girlfriend! I have learned there is nothing quick about Quick books!
I truly know what you mean. I'm older than you so I just say I've retired my brain along with my body.
IRS mess? Ha! You're doing waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than me, who, after making a long list entitled, 'DON'T FORGET TO:', forgets where she put the dang list!
Enjoying my way around your beautiful blog!
Following you back...OF COURSE!
